Volunteer interns (mostly University of Florida students) have assisted the staff to a limited degree in the past. Some volunteer opportunities are currently available. Volunteer programs will be expanded in the future when training funds are available.

Currently, MHBG's essential secretarial work is paid for as hourly labor through Conway Conservation, Inc. Since the garden has very limited funding at this stage, most of the other staff time is contributed as volunteer work.
