From Site Selection magazine, November 1999 I D R C L O G Goes CD-ROM
The directory encompasses the world's largest network of corporate real estate executives, service providers, economic developers and academics. The new format for the directory's year 2000 edition will replace the traditional printed volume and will feature a Web browser that will facilitate instant, ongoing updates of membership listings.
That feature reflects a primary reason for converting to the Web-based CD-ROM: continuous change within membership listings that reflect ongoing industry flux on both IDRC's end user and service provider sides. Those changes have made printed directories less accurate and efficient, IDRC officials say.
CD-ROM Links to the Web
As a supplement to the two electronic media, IDRC will publish a condensed telephone and e-mail directory of the membership.
