A hundred years ago, King Abdulaziz Al Saud began the process of creating a
nation in the Arabian Peninsula. Seventy-five years later, two world-class industrial
cities were created on opposite sides of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: one at
Jubail on the Arabian Gulf, the other at Yanbu on the Red Sea. Twenty-five years
after they were established, the two cities are now making an enormous contribution
to the economic well-being of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The opportunity
for continued growth and investment has never been greater.
It is a source of great pride to me to have participated in the remarkable achievements
at Jubail and Yanbu, and I hope that you will all take the opportunity to
