M A D R I D - S U P E R C I T Y
Madrid is a city of vision, strategies, programs and projects dedicated to achieving global leadership in the 21st century. Under the leadership of Mayor José María Álvarez del Manzano, Madrid is investing billions of dollars in infrastructure projects. At various points throughout the Global Super Projects Conference, Madrid will be used as a local case study and frame of reference for super city discussions.
Madrid, founded more than a thousand years ago, is a city in which the past and present live together in harmony. By every measure Madrid is a modern and dynamic global business center. But it is much more: A national capital. A city of physical beauty, historic buildings and magnificent cultural resources. A bustling social and leisure center. A people of warmth, congeniality and festive spirit.
Madrid is a delight for visitors. Whether one is interested in history, culture, museums, architecture, recreation, night life, cuisine or just plain relaxing, Madrid offers world-class opportunities for tourists. And the climate is mild and sunny, particularly in early May. Visitors to Madrid find it difficult to leave.
Each conference attendee is responsible for making his/her own hotel accommodations. The Global Super Projects Conference will be held at the Municipal Palace of Congresses of Madrid. Attendees will receive hotel reservation forms with confirmation of their conference registration.
