Description and Comments
The Alameda Corridor Project is a consolidated rail link between the San Pedro Ports and downtown Los Angeles. The effect of the project will be to consolidate 90 miles of rail lines in the Los Angeles basin into a single, 20-mile rail and highway corridor. More than 200 at-grade intersections will be eliminated, which will allow trains to move faster and will improve street traffic at intersections, while decreasing truck traffic.
